Analisis hubungan kualitas tidur dan frekuensi latihan terhadap VO₂max mahasiswa

Abstract


Kebugaran jasmani merupakan salah satu komponen penting yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa program studi olahraga guna mendukung aktivitas akademik, praktikum, dan kesiapan fisik dalam mengikuti perkuliahan. Salah satu indikator yang digunakan untuk mengukur kebugaran jasmani adalah kapasitas aerobik maksimal (VO₂max), yang merefleksikan kemampuan sistem kardiorespirasi seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan frekuensi latihan terhadap hasil tes VO₂max pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode total sampling yang melibatkan 31 mahasiswa sebagai responden. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) untuk mengukur kualitas tidur, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) untuk mengukur frekuensi latihan, serta tes Cooper 12 menit untuk memperoleh data VO₂max secara langsung. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi latihan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan hasil VO₂max (p < 0,05), sedangkan kualitas tidur tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan (p > 0,05). Simpulan dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan frekuensi latihan dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa, khususnya dalam aspek kapasitas aerobik. Implikasi dari hasil ini memperkuat pentingnya pelaksanaan program latihan fisik secara rutin dalam lingkungan pendidikan olahraga, serta memberikan rekomendasi agar penelitian lanjutan mengkaji variabel lain seperti intensitas latihan, durasi tidur, atau faktor gizi untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif.
