EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL DITINJAU DARI PRESTASI BELAJAR DAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA SMP KELAS VII

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dengan pendekatan kontekstual ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri, keefektifan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri, keefektifan antara model pembelajaran GI melalui pendekatan kontekstual dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa SMP kelas VII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control groups design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Yayasan Pupuk Kaltim Bontang. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-C dan VII-D. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan memberikan tes untuk mengukur prestasi belajar, angket untuk mengukur kepercayaan diri, dan observasi untuk mengukur keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t dengan nilai signifikansi 0,05 dan dengan bantuan SPSS 21. Hasil penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran GI dengan pendekatan kontekstual efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa SMP kelas VII, model pembelajaran ekspositori efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa SMP kelas VII, model pembelajaran GI dengan pendekatan kontekstual tidak lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari prestasi belajar siswa SMP Kelas VII dan model pembelajaran GI dengan pendekatan kontekstual lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari kepercayaan diri siswa SMP Kelas VII.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out effevtiveness of cooperative learning model type GI with contextual approach reviewed from learning achievement and self confidence, effectiveness of expository learning model reviewewd from learning achievement and self confidence, effectiveness between cooperative learning model type GI with contextual approach and expository learning model reviewed from learning achievement and self confidence students of Junior High School grade 7^th. Type of this research was quasi experiments with the design used was pretest-posttest control groups design. The population of this research was all of YPK Junior High School students grade 7^th. The sample of this research was students at VII-C and VII-D. In this research used  t-test with a significance value of 0.05 and with help of SPSS 21. Based on the prerequisite test, it was concluded that the samples were normally distributed, homogeneous, and had the same initial ability. The results of this research were (1) GI learning model with contextual approach was effective reviewed from learning achievement and self confidence students of JHS grade 7^th , (2) expository learning model was effective reviewed from learning achievement and self confidence students of JHS grade 7^th , (3) GI learning model with contextual approach was no more effective than the expository learning model reviewed from learning achievement students of JHS grade 7^th, (4) GI learning model with contextual approach was more effective than the expository learning model reviewed from self confidence students of JHS grade 7^th.
