Author Guidelines

The manuscripts

The manuscript should be an original research paper that makes a sufficient contribution of novelty to science education, particularly the integration of technology, pedagogy, and content in science learning. Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically using the Jurnal TPACK IPA online submission procedure. The corresponding author should also provide a statement that the manuscript is not concurrently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author must read our Publication Ethics and these Author Guidelines before submission. The Editors will ignore submissions that do not follow these procedures.

Manuscript preparation

  • Prepare the manuscript with the journal template and submit it as a Microsoft Word file (.doc or .docx).
  • Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or English. The structure of a research article is: Title, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Declaration, and References.
  • The Introduction presents the state of the art, identifies the research gap, and states the objectives of the study.
  • Citations and references follow the APA style. Each article should cite at least 15 references, mostly primary sources (journal articles) published within the last 10 years. Reference managers such as Mendeley are recommended.
  • Tables, figures, and illustrations are placed within the text with a title or caption and are mentioned in the text.
  • For double-blind review, remove author names and affiliations from the manuscript text and anonymize the file properties.

Declaration

Before the references, the manuscript must contain a declaration that covers: author contributions, funding sources, conflicts of interest, ethical clearance or permission for research involving human participants (with the approval number and year, where relevant), and any use of generative AI tools (see the AI Policy).

Originality and similarity check

All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity before review, in line with our Plagiarism Policy. Authors should check their own manuscripts before submitting.

Review and decision

All manuscripts go through a double-blind peer review. Taking into account the results of the peer-reviewing process, the decision on the acceptability of each manuscript will be notified to the author(s) through the website system, in one of the following conclusions:

  1. Accepted without revision, or
  2. Accepted with minor revision, or
  3. Accepted with major revision, or
  4. Rejected.

Fees

The journal does not charge any submission or publication fees.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). The manuscript complies with the Publication Ethics.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) and uses the journal template.
  3. References consist of reputable journal articles (at least 15 references, mostly primary sources from the last 10 years), and where available, URLs or DOIs for the references have been provided. All items are written consistently following the Author Guidelines.
  4. All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end. These have been given title (caption) and described or mentioned within the text.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, and the manuscript is written in the APA style.
  6. The manuscript has been prepared for double-blind review: author names and affiliations have been removed from the text, and the file properties have been anonymized.
  7. Any use of generative AI tools in preparing this manuscript has been disclosed in accordance with the AI Policy.
 

Copyright Notice

The authors submitting a manuscript to this journal agree that, if accepted for publication, copyright publishing of the submission shall be assigned to Jurnal TPACK IPA. However, even though the journal asks for a copyright transfer, the authors retain (or are granted back) significant scholarly rights.

The copyright form should be signed originally and sent to the Editorial Office by email to tpack-ipa@uny.ac.id.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
This journal does not charge any submission fee, article processing charge (APC), or publication fee. All services are free of charge for authors.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
