PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL SETS (SCIENCE, ENVIRONMENT, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY) TERHADAP LITERASI SAINS SISWA KELAS VII SMP THE INFLUENCE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF SETS (SCIENCE, ENVIRONMENT, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY) MODEL TOWARDS SCIENTIFIC LITERACY OF SEVENTH GRADE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ON THE THEME OF WATER POLLUTION

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) terhadap literasi sains siswa kelas VII SMP pada tema pencemaran air. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain penelitian yaitu Time series designdengan tahapan pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dari populasi seluruh siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Paliyan, tahapan melakukan penelitian sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan dimana setiap pertemuan selalu dilakukan pretest dan posttest. Untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran science, environment, technology, and society terhadap literasi sains siswa kelas VII SMP pada tema pencemaran air digunakan regresi linear berganda menggunakan program SPSS 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) terhadap literasi sains siswa SMP pada tema pencemaran air. Persamaan regresi linear berganda yaitu Y = 10.477 + 0.337 (X1) + 0.356 (X2) + 0.157 (X3).
Kata kunci: model SETS, literasi sains.
The purpose of this research is to know the influence of science, environment, technology, and society model towards scientific literacy of seventh grade high school students on the theme of water pollution. This research used time series design. by using cluster random sampling technique from the population that are all seventh grade high school students of Negeri 1 Paliyan. Multiple linear regression test with SPSS 16 is used to determine the influenceof science, environment, technology, and society model towards the result of seventh grade high school students’sscientific literacy on the theme of water pollution. According to the results SETS model has a positive influence towards seventh grade high school students’s scientific literacy on the theme of water pollution.The equation of multiple linear regression is Y = 10.477 + 0.337 (X1) + 0.356 (X2) + 0.157 (X3).
