EFEKTIVITAS PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) DENGAN TIME TOKENS DITINJAU DARI PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA DAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL SISWA KELAS VII SMP

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan Time Tokens ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematika dan keterampilan sosial siswa kelas VII SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Depok. Sampel dipilih secara acak dengan teknik sampling purposive. Sampel terpilih yaitu VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan Time Tokens dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan dengan pembelajaran konvensional yaitu model pembelajaran ekspositori. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman konsep (pretest dan post test), dan non-tes berupa observasi keterampilan sosial siswa. Metode pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan  t-paired sample test dan independent samples t-test yang dibantu menggunakan software SPSS. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, gain kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut adalah 41,60 dan 32,81. Hasil observasi keterampilan sosial pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut adalah 49,8 dengan kategori baik dan 44,6 dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 1) model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan Time Tokens efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematika, 2)  model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan Time Tokens efektif ditinjau dari keterampilan sosial siswa.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the effectivity of the application of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) with Time Tokens observed by the ability to understand the mathematical concept and social skills of  junior high school students grade 7^th. The population of the research is student of 7^th grade in junior high school 3 Depok. The selected samples were 7A as the experimental class treated with the learning of Numbered Head Together (NHT) with Time Tokens and 7B as the control class treated with conventional learning that is the expository learning model. The instruments that are used on this research are concept comprehension test (pretest and post test), and a non-test are the form of observation of student social skill. Hypotheses trial method uses t-paired sample test and independent samples t-test that are helped software SPSS. Based on the data obtained, the gain of experimental class and control class are 41,60 and 32,81. The result of social skill observation in the experimental class and control class are 49,8 with good category and 44,6 with good category. The results of hypotheses testing can be concluded that 1) cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) with Time Tokens is effective observed by`understanding of mathematical concepts, 2) cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) with Time Tokens is effective obeserved by student’s social skill.
