PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL DAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF THE INFLUENCE JIGSAW TYPE OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TO INCREASED SOCIAL SKILLS AND COGNITIVE LEARNING RESULTS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan keterampilan sosial, (2) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif, (3) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental dengan non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dan sampel adalah kelas VII SMP N 1 Turi, dengan kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIC sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling. Data hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh melalui nilai N-gain, sedangkan nilai keterampilan sosial diperoleh melalui lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan keterampilan sosial dengan taraf signifikansi 0,023, (2) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dengan taraf signifikansi 0,044, (3) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar kognitif dengan taraf signifikansi 0,014.

This research aims to (1) find out the influence of using jigsaw type of cooperative learning model to increased social skills, (2) find out the influence of using jigsaw type of cooperative learning model to increased cognitive learning results students, (3) find out the influence of using jigsaw type of cooperative learning model to increased social skills and cognitive learning outcomes students. This research uses quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The population and sample in this study was a Class VII SMP N 1 Turi with Class VII A as class experiments using jigsaw type of cooperative learning model and Class VII C as control using direct learning model. Sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Cognitive learning results data obtained through the value of N-gain, while the value of social skills acquired through observation sheets. The results shows that (1) there is the influence jigsaw type of cooperative learning model to increased social skills with the significance level 0.023, (2) there is the influence jigsaw type of cooperative learning model to increased cognitive learning results students with the significance level 0.044, (3) there is the influence jigsaw type of cooperative learning model to increased social skills and cognitive learning outcomes with the significance level 0.014.
