PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN IPA MODEL CONNECTED UNTUK PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF DAN PENCAPAIAN RASA INGIN TAHU SERTA KETERAMPILAN PROSES PESERTA DIDIK SMP THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE LEARNING DEVICE WITH CONNECTED MODEL FOR IMPROVING COGNITIVE SKILL AND ACHIEVEMENT CURIOSITY AND PROCESS SKILL OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Model connected berdasarkan penilaian dosen ahli dan guru IPA, 2) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik setelah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA model Connected, 3) mengetahui pencapaian rasa ingin tahu peserta didik 4) mengetahui pencapaian keterampilan proses peserta didik. Desain penelitian ini merupakan R&D dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar angket validasi perangkat pembelajaran, lembar angket rasa ingin tahu peserta didik, lembar observasi keterampilan proses peserta didik serta soal pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif, konversi skor skala 5, gain score ternormalisasi dan analisis deskriptif dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran IPA model connected menurut penilaian dari dosen ahli dan Guru IPA termasuk dalam kategori baik (B), perangkat pembelajaran IPA model connected ini mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik dengan nilai 0,6 (termasuk kategori sedang), perangkat pembelajaran IPA model connected berhasil memperoleh pencapaian rasa ingin tahu dengan persentase 78,9 % (kategori baik) serta pencapaian keterampilan proses dengan presentase 72,6 % (kategori baik).

The aims of this research were 1) to know reasonable of science with connected model based on expert assessment, 2) to know the improve cognitive ability after using science learning device with connected model, 3) to know curiosity achievement of student, 4) to know process skill achievement of student. This research was categorized as R & D research with 4D models (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The instruments of this research were validation forms of learning device, students’ questionnaire of curiosity, process skill observation forms, and pretest and posttest tasks. Data analysis techniques used in this research were quantitative data analysis, conversion scale 5, gain score normalization and descriptive analysis with percentage. The results of this research were 1) science learning device with connected model that reasonable with categories well (B) by validators, 2) science learning device with connected model could to increase cognitive ability with the gain score normalization which was 0,6 and categorized as a medium result, 3) science learning device with connected model could to achieve curiosity 78,9% with categories well (B), 4) science learning device with connected model could to acive process skill 72,6% with categories well (B).
