PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR MODUL BERMUATAN NATURE OF SCIENCE PADA MATERI SISTEM PERNAPASAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA KELAS VIII SMP N 2 MLATI

Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mengetahui kelayakan bahan ajar modul IPA bermuatan Nature of Science (NOS) pada materi sistem pernapasan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII SMP N 2 Mlati dan (2) mengetahui peningkatan literasi sains siswa SMP N 2 Mlati kelas VIII setelah menggunakan bahan ajar modul bermuatan NOS pada materi sistem pernapasan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D dari Thiagarajan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan quasi experimen. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi: (1) lembar validasi bahan ajar modul IPA, (2) lembar observasi keterlaksanaan langkah pembelajaran dengan muatan NOS, (3) angket respon siswa, dan (4) soal literasi sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bahan ajar modul IPA bermuatan NOS dinyatakan layak dengan hasil sangat baik (A), (2) modul IPA bermuatan NOS pada materi sistem pernapasan dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa SMP N 2 Mlati secara signifikan dengan katerori peningkatan sedang.

The purpose of this research is to find out (1) the eligible of science module teaching materials containing Nature of Science (NOS) on respiratory system materials to improve scientific literacy of grade VIII SMP N 2 Mlati students and (2) increase scientific literacy of SMP N 2 Mlati grade VIII students after use teaching materials module containing NOS on respiratory system materials.. This research is categorized as Research and Development (R & D) with 4D models from Thiagarajan. Data collection techniques used quasi experimental design. Data collection instruments used in this research include: (1) validation science module sheet, (2) learning observation sheet, (3) questionnaire response students, (4) scientific literacy test. The results showed that the science module containing NOS are (1) eligible to be used by students based on the results of the validation expert lecturers and science teachers with excellent results of qualitative data (A), (2) science module containing NOS can increasing scientific literacy according to significant in a category modest rate.
