PERBANDINGAN SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING BERDASARKAN KETERLIBATAN ORGANISASI PADA MAHASISWA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat tingkat subjective well-being pada mahasiswa yang aktif berorganisasi dan mahasiswa yang tidak aktif berorganisasi. Penelitiandengan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif ini dilakukan di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 362 orang mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel accidental purpossive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) yang diusulkan oleh Watson, Clark, & Tellegan (1988) dan skala Life Satisfaction yang diusulkan oleh Diener, Emmons, Larsen, & Griffin (1985). Reliabilitas pada skala afek positif 0,86-0,90; skala afek negatif berkisar antara 0,84-0,87; sedangkan skala kepuasan hidup adalah 0,87. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Welch’s independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat subjective well-being yang signifikan antara mahasiswa yang aktif berorganisasi dengan mahasiswa yang tidak aktif berorganisasi dengan koefisien α= 0,000 (P<0,05), dimana mahasiswa yang aktif berorganisasi memiliki rerata subjective well-being yang lebih tinggi dibanding mahasiswa yang tidak aktif berorganisasi (μ= 87,0182 > μ= 73,8731).

Abstract

This study aims to find out the level of subjective well-being in students who are active in organization and students who are not. This research, which uses a quantitative approach with comparative type, was conducted at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.the subjects in this study were numbered 362 students, conducted by accidentas purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools use the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) scale proposed by Watson, Clark, & Tellegan (1988) and the Life Satisfaction scale proposed by Diener, Emmons, Larsen, & Griffin (1985). Reliability of the positive affect scales from 0.86 to 0.90; a negative affect scale ranged from 0.84 to 0.87; while the life satisfaction scale is 0.87. hypotheses testing uses Welch’s independent t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the level of subjective well-being between students who were active in organization and students who were not with coefficient α = 0.000 (P<0.05), where students who were active in organization had more subjective well-being higher than students who are not (μ=87.0182> μ=73.8731).
