Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran tenaga kependidikan di SMK Ma’arif 1 Kebumen dalam pendidikan karakter dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan oleh tenaga kependidikan kepada peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data melalui: observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilaksanakan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Peran tenaga kependidikan dalam pendidikan karakter: peneladanan kepada peserta didik, penyelenggaraan berbagai program dan kegiatan sekolah, penegakan peraturan/tata tertib sekolah, pelayanan prima kepada seluruh warga sekolah, serta pembudayaan nilai-nilai di internal tenaga kependidikan dan pendidik. Nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan tenaga kependidikan dalam pendidikan karakter: religius, kedisiplinan, kerja keras, kreativitas, gemar membaca, menghargai prestasi, komunikatif, kepedulian lingkungan, dan kepedulian sosial. Tenaga kependidikan turut berperan dalam pengembangan dan penguatan karakter peserta didik melalui pengamalan nilai, peneladanan, komunikasi verbal, serta pengkondisian lingkungan akademis dan agamis.

Abstrack

This research aims to describe the role of educational staff in SMK Ma’arif 1 Kebumen in character education and what values the educational staff intends to socialize to the student in SMK Ma’arif 1 Kebumen. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. Data retrieval are done through: observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman model, that is: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The role of educational staff in character education are: modelling of students, procurement of various program and school activities, enforcement of school rules, excellent service to all school residents, and internal culture of values amongst educational staff and teachers. The values that intends to socialize by educational staff in character education are: religious, discipline, hard work, creativity, excitement of read, achievement, communicative, environmental awareness, and social awareness. Educational staff play an important role in the development and strengthening the character of student through the practice of values, exemplary, verbal communication, as well as conditioning the academic and religious environment.
