PENGARUH HYDROTHERAPY TERHADAP KEKUATAN OTOT DAN RENTANG GERAK SENDI PADA ANAK CEREBRAL PALSY TIPE SPASTIK DI PUSAT REHABILITASI YAKKUM (PRY) YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hydrotherapy terhadap kekuatan otot dan
rentang gerak sendi pada anak cerebral palsy (CP) tipe spastik di Pusat Rehabilitasi Yakkum (PRY)
Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian
one group pre-test post-test design. Subjek pada penelitian ini ialah anak dengan cerebral palsy tipe spastik
sebanyak 6 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes GMFCS, MMT dan ROM. Teknik
analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesisnya yaitu menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik U
Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan berdasarkan analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan U Mann-
Whitney bahwa Uhitung ≤ Utabel dengan nilai 𝑈ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 sejumlah 14 sedangkan 𝑈𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 adalah 5 dengan n =
6, yang artinya tidak ada pengaruh pada tingkat kemampuan motorik kasar anak cerebral palsy tipe spastik
melalui latihan hydrotherapy. Faktor yang diduga menghambat adanya peningkatan yaitu waktu latihan
yang terlalu singkat dan juga kondisi kesehatan pada anak yang tidak stabil.

Abstract
This research held to understood how hydrotherapy influence muscular power and range of motion
in a children with spastic type of cerebral palsy on Yakkum Rehabilitation Center (YRC) Yogyakarta. This
research was held by using quasi experiment approach with one group pre-test post-test research design.
Subject on this research is 6 kids with spastic type cerebral palsy using test GMFCS, MMT and ROM data
acquisition method. To prove the hypothesis we use statistic test non parametric U Mann-Whitney. The
results of this study indicate based on the analysis of hypothesis testing using U Mann-Whitney that 𝑈ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔
≤ 𝑈𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 with 𝑈ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 score 14 and 𝑈𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 is 5 with n = 6, which means there is no effect on the gross
motoric ability of spastic type cerebral palsy through hydrotherapy exercises. The factor that burden the
effect of the hydrotherapy exercise on the gross motoric abilities of children was thought to be due to too
short training time and also health conditions in children who were unstable.
