UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PERCAYA DIRI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan percaya diri siswa kelas IV menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) di SD Negeri Sidakan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan MC Taggart yang berlangsung 2 siklus. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, angket, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data deskripsi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah rata-rata percaya diri siswa mencapai ≥75%. Hasil observasi menunjukan peningkatan sebesar 16,98% dari siklus I sebesar 66,99% meningkat di siklus II menjadi 83,97%. Sedangkan hasil angket percaya diri siswa meningkat sebesar 10,49% dari siklus I sebesar 73,56% yang meningkat di siklus II menjadi 84,05%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatakan percaya diri siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Sidakan.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to improve the fourth grade students’ confidence using Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model at SD Negeri Sidakan. This study belongs to Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subject of the study was the fourth grade students with the total 13 students. This study used a model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart that was conducted in two cycles. The data were collected using observations, documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative data analysis. The result shows that the minimum average confident of the fourth grade students is almost 75%. The observation result shows that there is an improvement for 16,98%, from 66.99% in cycle 1 becomes 83,97% in cycle 2. Moreover, the result of the students’ confident questionnaires shows there is an improvement for 10.49%, 73.56 in cycle 1 becomes 84.05% in cycle 2. Therefore, it can be conclude that the implementation of Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model on the social subject is able to improve the confidence of the fourth grade students at SD Negeri Sidakan.
