EVALUASI PENYELENGGARAAN PROGRAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS KEJAR PAKET B & C SKB DI KABUPATEN BATANG

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan: memperoleh gambaran tentang relevansi program pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan kebutuhan warga belajar, tentang karakteristik input yang terlibat dalam program, tentang proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, dan tentang seberapa jauh keberhasilan program. Penelitian evaluative ini menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) yang dikembangkan Stufflebeam. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh warga belajar Kejar Paket B & C, pamong belajar, dan kepala Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) Kabupaten Batang. Kejar Paket B sebanyak 24 siswa dan C 66 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, pengamatan, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan prosentase melalui pengeditan data, pemberian kode, dan tabulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya relevansi yang cukup kuat antara program pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan kebutuhan warga belajar. Karakteristik warga belajar, kebutuhan belajar, pamong belajar, penyelenggara dan ketersediaan sarana prasarana mendukung terlaksananya program secara baik. Proses pembelajaran berjalan dengan baik, hanya saja warga belajar dalam kegiatan tatap muka masih kurang aktif. Program ini cukup berhasil. Manfaat bagi warga belajar: meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan warga belajar berbahasa Inggris.

Abstract
This research aims: to get a description about relevancy of English learning program with the needs of students, about input characteristic which is involved in the program, about English learning process in Batang Study Activity Studio, and to find out a description how far the success of English learning program. This evaluation research used CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product) suggested by Stufflebeam. The evaluation subjects are all students of Batang Study Activity Studio. Packet B consists of 24 students and Packet C consists of 66 students. The data were collected using an interview guide, observation, and questioner. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative approach with percentage through editing, coding, and tabulating. The research finding reveals the relevance of the English learning program is strong enough with the need of learners. Observed from the characteristics of the learners, need of learners, instructor, organizers, and facility at Packet Studies B and C in Batang Study Activity Club, all of which support the implementation of English learning program well. The learning process of English learning program runs well. Although the learners are less active in teaching learning process, this English learning program is successful enough, so it can give the advantage to the learners such as adding and improving their knowledge and skill in English field.
