THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PAIRED STORYTELLING TECHNIQUE IN THE TEACHING OF LEARNING OF THE GERMAN WRITING SKILLS AMONG THE STUDENTS OF GRADE X OF SMA NEGERI 1 MAGELANG

Abstract


This study aims to determine (1) the difference in the German writing skills teaching learners the 10th grade at SMAN 1 Magelang, who are taught with the Paired Storytelling technique and with the conventional technique, (2) the effectiveness of the use of Paired Storytelling technique at the German writing skills classes in the 10th grade at the SMAN 1 Magelang determine. This research is a quasi experiment. The sampling technique in the study used a simple of random sampling. The sample in this study were students of class X MIA 6 as an experimental class, and the students of class X MIA 5 as the control class. Data were analyzed using t-test analysis. The results showed that the value of t is greater than t table (2,276> 2,001), at significance level α = 0.05 and db at 54. The weight of the effectiveness of 7.4%. The average grade of the experiment class > of the control class (84.321>79.357). This means that the use of Paired Storytelling technique in German writing skills teaching of learners in the 10th grade at the SMAN 1 Magelang is more effective than the conventional technique.
