This research belongs to quasi experiment. The research design is pretest post-test control group design. Sample is taken by simple random sampling. Instrument validity employs content validity, construct validity, and item validity. Data analysis in this research employs T-test. The result of this research shows that the value of tcounted =4,995, which is greater than the value of ttable = 2.000 on the level of significance α = 0,05 with the value of significance is smaller than 0.05 (0.000<0.05) and db=62. The Effectivennes Point is as much as 8.1%, so that it can be concluded that the use of Numbered Heads Together technique for German reading skill in 10th grade students of SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo is more effective than the use of conventional technique.
