THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE LEARNING CELL FOR THE GERMAN READING SKILL AMONG SMA NEGERI 2 BANGUNTAPAN BANTUL

Abstract


This research has purpose to find out (1) the different reading german ability by the third grade student SMA N 2 Banguntapan Bantul between the teaching class student by using the learning cell and conventional methode (2) the effectiveness of learning cell methode for german reading skill study by the third grade student SMA N 2 Banguntapan Bantul between the teaching class student by using the learning cell and conventional methode. The subjects of the research were 114 students of grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Banguntapan Bantul. The sampling technique was random sampling. Based on the random sampling, the control group was the XII IPA 2 (32 students) and the experimental group was the XII IPA 3 (32 students). Analysis of the data using t-test. The result of this research shows that the value of tcounted 2,489, which is greater than the value of ttable 2.000 on the level of significance α = 0,05 and db 62. This result show that (1) there are difference the achievement of the class the employs the learning cell methods, (2) the mean score of the experiment class is 24,23 which is higher than the controlling class 23,5. The score of the effectiveness is 7,5%. Therefore, can be concluded that the using Learning Cell methode in the learning by the students of SMA Negeri 2 Banguntapan Bantul is more effective than the learning by using conventional methode.
