THE INFLUENCE OF MOTIVATION, LEARNING STYLE, AND VOCABULARY IN THE LEARNING OF THE GERMAN TEXT READING AMONG THE STUDENTS OF GRADE X SMAN 1 MINGGIR SLEMAN

Abstract
The purpose of this research are to determine: (1) the inluence of motivation in learning German to the achievement of reading skills in German, 2) the influence of learning style in learning German to the achievement of reading skills in German, 3) the influence of vocabulary in learning German to the achievement of reading skills in German, and 3) the influence motivation, learning style and voccabulary in learning German mutually to the achievement of reading skills in German at the X grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Minggir Sleman. This study was an ex post facto. The collected data were questionnaire and tests. The instruments validity used Pearson formula. The reliability used Alpha Cronbach formula. Based on the data analysis, it was known that the regression (Ŷ) = Ŷ= 9,195 + 0,096 𝑋"+ 0,188 𝑋#+ 0,398 𝑋$. The findings revealed that 1) there is a positive and significant influence of motivation in learning German to the reading skills in German, indicated by tcount = 5,824 > ttable = 1,987, 2) there is a positive and significant influence of learning style in learning German to the reading skills in German, indicated by tcount = 6,792 > ttable = 1,987, 3) there is a positive and significant influence of vocabulary in learning German to the reading skills in German,indicated by tcount = 5,277 > ttable = 1,622, and 4) there is a positive and significant influence of motivation, learning style and vocabulary in learning German mutually to the reading skills in German, indicated by Fcount = 33,905 > Ftable = 2,706.
