PERBEDAAN GROUP INVESTIGATION DAN JIGSAW PEMBELAJARAN IPA TERHADAP KERJASAMA DAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA SMP DIFFERENCES OF GROUP INVESTIGATION AND JIGSAW IN LEARNING SCIENCE TO THE ABILITY OF COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING CONCEPT OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan group investigation dan jigsaw pada pembelajaran IPA terhadap kerjasama siswa SMP, (2) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan group investigation dan jigsaw pada pembelajaran IPA terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa, dan (3) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan group investigation dan jigsaw pada pembelajaran IPA terhadap kerjasama dan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kerjasama dan soal tes pemahaman konsep. Analisis data pada kerjasama dan pemahaman konsep menggunakan independent sample t-tes, dan Manova digunakan untuk menganalis kerjasama dan pemahaman konsep secara bersamaan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada group investigation dan jigsaw terhadap kerjasama siswa SMP dengan nilai Sig. sebesar 0,049< 0,05; (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada penggunaan group investigation dan jigsaw terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa SMP dengan nilai Sig. sebesar 0,030< 0,05; (3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada penggunaan group investigation dan jigsaw terhadap kemampuan kerjasama dan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP dengan nilai signifikansi 0,035 untuk kerjasama siswa dan 0,000 untuk pemahaman konsep siswa.

The purpose of this research is to (1) to know the significant difference of group investigation and jigsaw on science learning to SMP junior high school students, (2) to know the significant difference of group investigation and jigsaw on science learning to understanding student concept, and (3) to know the difference A significant group investigation and jigsaw on science learning on cooperation and understanding of the concept of junior high school students. This research is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. Sampling technique with purposive sampling. The data collection instrument uses a joint questionnaire and concept comprehension test. Data analysis on cooperation and conceptual understanding using independent sample t-test, and Manova used to analyze cooperation and understanding concepts simultaneously. The results of this study are (1) there are significant differences in group investigation and jigsaw toward the cooperation of junior high school students with Sig score. Of 0.049 <0.05; (2) there is a significant difference in the use of group investigation and jigsaw toward understanding the concept of junior high school students with Sig score. Of 0.030 <0.05; (3) there is a significant difference in the use of group investigation and jigsaw on the ability of cooperation and understanding of the concept of junior high school students with a significance value of 0.035 for student co-operation and 0.000 for understanding concept.
