Abstract


Abstrak Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga dapat membentuk sikap sosial siswa, akan tetapi jam ekstrakurikuler sangat sedikit. Kegiatan yang dilakukan ekstrakurikuler non olahraga lebih banyak sehingga siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler non olahraga lebih sering malakukan interaksi sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan sikap sosial siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler olahraga dengan siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuer non olahraga di SMP N 1 Tempel Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Instrumen yang digunakan menggunakan angket sebanyak 29 butir pernyataan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler olahraga sebanyak 72 siswa dan siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuer non olahraga sebanyak 71 siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis dengan analisis uji t (independent sample t test). Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai t hitung (5,208) > t tabel (1,980), dan nilai p (0,000) < dari 0,05, hasil tersebut menunjukkan diartikan Ha: diterima dan Ho: ditolak, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan sikap sosial siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler olahraga dengan siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuer non olahraga di SMP N 1 Tempel Kabupaten Sleman. Kata kunci : Sikap Sosial, Ekstrakurikuler Olahraga, Ekstrakurikuer Non Olahraga Abstract It is widely known that sport extracurricular activities can develop student’s social attitude. However, in SMP N 1 Tempel Sleman, the time allocation for those extracurricular activities was insufficient to do so. In the meantime, the time allocation for non-sport extracurricular activities was longer so that students joining on those activities had more time to do social interaction. The aim of this research was to find out whether there were differences on social attitude between students joining sport extracurricular programs and students joining non-sport extracurricular programs at SMP N 1 Tempel Sleman. This research was a comparative study using survey method. The instrument used was in the form of questionnaire, which consisted of 29 questions. The subjects of the research were 72 students joining sport extracurricular programs and 71 students joining non-sport extracurricular programs. The data was then analysed using hypothesis testing in the form of T-test analysis (independent sample T-test). The results showed that tvalue (5, 208) > ttable (1, 980), and p (0, 000) < 0, 05. From those results, it was gained that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, it was concluded that there were differences on social attitude between students joining sport extracurricular programs and students joining non-sport extracurricular programs at SMP N 1 Tempel Sleman.
