Abstract
This research explores the dynamics of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) communication in building public trust and social impact amidst the digital cultural transformation in Southeast Asia. Using a comparative study, this article integrates an in-depth literature review with a collection of empirical field experiences in 5 (five) key regions: Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, and Papua. The main focus is directed at how CSR narratives are culturally adapted to address the specific climate change challenges in each mentoring location. This study highlights the strategic role of women as key communicators within the CSR partner circle. Amidst the diverse sociocultural landscape of Indonesia, the active involvement of women has proven to be a determining factor in the success of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programs. Through cross-cultural analysis, this study finds that in regions such as Sumatra, Java, and Bali, digital communication is more integrated in community engagement, while in Kalimantan and Papua, the strength of traditional social capital remains a key pillar of public trust. The results show that effective CSR communication requires not only information transparency but also the ability to align digital content with local wisdom. The integration of a gender perspective in climate change disaster mitigation creates a more sustainable social impact. Theoretically, this article contributes to the Creative Public Futures discourse by offering an inclusive, culture-based CSR communication model that can strengthen community resilience while increasing corporate legitimacy in the eyes of the public.
