Relevansi kompetensi siswa teknik audio video dengan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri di Kabupaten Bantul

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) standar kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri bidang audio video, (2) kompetensi yang dicapai siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) program keahlian teknik audio video, dan (3) relevansi standar kompetensi dan kompetensi siswa SMK program keahlian teknik audio video dengan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri di Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 4 SMK yang memiliki kompetensi keahlian teknik audio video dan 20 industri di Kabupaten Bantul. Subjek penelitian adalah 140 siswa kelas XII dan pimpinan industri audio video. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket, tes, dan dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan tabulasi yang disajikan dalam grafik diagram batang dan lingkaran. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) kebutuhan kompetensi bidang audio video di industri di Kabupaten Bantul masuk dalam kriteria dibutuhkan; (2) kompetensi siswa teknik audio video di Kabupaten Bantul masuk pada kategori baik dan kriteia tuntas; dan (3) relevansi standar kompetensi siswa teknik audio video di Kabupaten Bantul dengan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri masuk dalam kriteria relevan dan tuntas.

THE RELEVANCE OF STUDENTS COMPETENCY OF THE AUDIO VIDEO ENGINEERING TO THE COMPETENCY NEEDED BY INDUSTRIES IN BANTUL REGENCY
Abstract
This study aims to investigate: (1) the competency standards needed by the audio video industries, (2) the competency skills of Vocational High School (VHS) students of the audio video engineering expertise program, and (3) the relevance of competency standards and the competency of the VHS students of skill program of the audio video engineering department to the competency required by industries in Bantul Regency. This was a survey study. It was conducted at four VHSs running the audio video engineering expertise competency and 20 industries where the students had the industrial experience in Bantul Regency. The research subjects were 140 grade XII students and 20 audio video industry supervisors. The sample was established by means of the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through questionnaire, test, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics presented in bar graphs and pie charts. The results of the study reveal that: (1) the competency in the audio video sector needed by industries in Bantul Regency on the required criteria; (2) the competency skills of students of the audio video engineering expertise program in Bantul Regency are good catagory and in the mastery category; and (3) the relevance of competency standards of the students skill program of the audio video engineering department to the competency needed by industries in Bantul Regency on the criteria of relevance and mastery.
