Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. Journal of Vocational and Work Education (JoVWE) publishes the results of research or study on vocational education. The manuscript submitted must be original and has never been published elsewhere.
  2. Manuscript accepted is written in standard Bahasa Indonesian and English.
  3. The length of the manuscript is approximately 15 pages or 6.000 words, and written referring to the TEMPLATE [DOWNLOAD]
  4. The manuscript must be in *.doc or *.rtf , and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you have not had any account yet; or click LOG IN if you have already had an account].
  5. All Author(s)' names and identity(es) must be completely embedded in the form filled in by the corresponding author: email; affiliation; and each author's short biography (in the column of 'Bio Statement'). [if the manuscript is written by two or more authors, please click 'Add Author' in the 3rd step of 'ENTER METADATA' in the submission process and then enter each author's data.]
  6. Authors' biography (in the column of Bio Statement) is written in the form of narration, including author's full name, place and date of birth, educational qualification/information started from bachelor degree (S1) until the latest educational degree, the affiliation in which the author is currently working, phone number, and email address.
  7. APA (American Psychological Association) style is used as a reference in citation, references, and the journal writing format, explained as follows:
  • The title of the manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia and English, font: Times New Roman – 11. The title must be as brief as possible, and must represent the content of the manuscript (maximum of 14 words). The title of a research-based article must be simplified and different to the title of the research. The heading levels of the manuscript must be arranged as follows: (1) Heading One (Uppercase and Lowercase, Bold, Font 11); (2) Hading Two (Uppercase and Lowercase); (3) Heading Three (Uppercase and Lowercase, italic);
  • Article of a product of a study comprises the following headings: Introduction (research problems, frame of thinking and/or analytical framework), sub-headings of discussion, conclusion, and references. Meanwhile, article of a product of research comprises five main headings: Pendahuluan (Introduction); Metode Penelitian (Research Method); Hasil dan Pembahasan (Findings and Discussion); Simpulan dan Saran (Conclusions and Suggestions); Daftar Pustaka (References).
  • Authors (and co-authors) names are written below the tittle of the manuscript, without including their titles or degrees.
  • Authors’ affiliations are written below the names; email and phone numbers are written below the affiliations
  • Keywords: words or phrases which are important, specific, or representative to the article. Keywords are written in bold and italic, one space below the abstract.
  • Abstract is written in two languages: Indonesian and English, as a representation of the manuscript. The abstract should not exceed 250 words for each language format (1 page for both English and Indonesian abstracts), written narratively in one paragrapgh for each, comprising aims/objectives, method, and findings of the research/article.

All correspondences, information and decisions for the submitted manuscripts are conducted through email written in the manuscript and/or the emails used for the submission. Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
