PENGGUNAAN MEDIA BERBASIS IT GUNA MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SOSIOLOGI SISWA KELAS XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 PRAMBANAN SLEMAN TAHUN AJARAN 2017/2018
Abstract
The aim of this research was to improve students’ learning interest by means of IT
based learning media for the XI IPS 2 students of SMA N 1 Prambanan Sleman
academic year 2017/2018. This research was done in two cycles and each one
includes planning, action, observation and reflection. This research was conducted
in SMA N 1 Prambanan Sleman. The subject of the research was the class of XI
IPS 2, which consisted of 25 students. The object of the research was the
improvement of students’ interest in learning Sociology. Methods used for data
gathering were observation, interviews and questionnaires. The techniques used
for data analysis were qualitative and quantitative.
Based on the research data, it was concluded that IT based media could improve
students’ interest in learning Sociology. This improvement was perceivable
through numerous indicators such as students’ happiness, participation, interest,
and attention. Based on the result of the observation in cycle I and II, there had
been an improvement in students’ learning interest as much as 15%; from 68,50%
to 83,50%. Based on the questionnaires, it showed that students’ learning interest
had an increase of 16,42%; from 62,91% to 79,33%.
