Abstract

Nowadays, the development of educational games which contains about classification of computer components is still limited, especially on the android platform. The objectives of this research are: (1) to develop KATELU education game on android based devices that contain computer classification materials, (2) to know the quality and feasibility levels of this education game on android based devices according to ISO 9126 standard and quality standard of educational game. This was a Research and Development (R&D). This research used multimedia development models proposed by Lee and Owens, those are: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development and implementation, and (4) evaluation. The result showed that: (1) developing game education KATELU using Unity 3D Game Engine software on the android based devices in the form of quiz and puzze. This game provides 3 levels: beginner, intermediate, and advance. Best score and final score features are additionally available in this game, (2) KATELU educational game is feasible because the application test results of this game are saturating to the ISO standard with percentage of functionality test is 100% (very good), efficiency test is 3% (<15%) which means the level of efficiency of education game KATELU is very high (very efficient), maintainability test is 85 (very easy to maintain), portability test is 100% (very good), reliability test is 100% during stress testing (very good), usability test is 72,2% (good), and the quality standard of educational game with 83,7% (very good), meanwhile for the materials aspect is 97,7% (valid).
