THE ANALYSIS OF LIBRARY INFORMATION SYSTEM SUCCESS IN YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY (YSU) USING DELONE AND MCLEAN MODEL APPROACH

Abstract

Systems Success Model proposed by DeLone and McLean in 2003. Variables used in this study were system
quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction and net benefits .
The object of this research was the Library Information System at Yogyakarta State University based
on Senayan Library Management Systems (SliMS). The subject of this research was the students of Yogyakarta
State University as the user in March 2017 by used quota sampling technique. According to the table of Isaac
and Michael the sample used was 350 students. The data collection technique in this study used questionnaire
that had been validated. The instruments were validated internally by using expert judgment technique and
were declared feasible to be used with some improvements. The external validity was performed by using 30
respondents randomly and therefore, the instrument was valid to be used with interpretation score 70.74%.
Besides the validity test, an instrument reliability test was performed with Cronbanch's Aplha value of 0.915
(very high) which indicated that the instrument can be trusted. Hypothesis testing was done by regression
analysis. The data analysis used SPSS version 24 program.
The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant relation between: (1) system
quality with use, (2) system quality with user satisfaction, (3) information quality with use, (4) information
quality with user satisfaction, (5) service quality with use, (6) service quality with user satisfaction, (7) use
with user satisfaction, (8) use with net benefits, (9) user satisfaction with net benefits. The implementation of
library information system can be declared successful because there was positive correlations between
variables.
