Abstract
This study aims to: (1) determine differences in student learning outcomes using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative method on Computer Assembling subject in Multi Media Class X at SMK N 2 Yogyakarta, (2) to know better teaching methods to improve student learning outcomes in Computer Assembling subjects of Multi Media class X at SMK N 2 Yogyakarta.
The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental methods (quasi experiment). The research design used was Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design (Pretest-Posttest of Non Equivalent Group). The research subject is second semester of academic year 2015/2016 class X students majoring in Multi Media at SMK N 2 Yogyakarta, the class X MM 1 with total of 31 students as STAD method class and the class X MM STAD 2 in total of 31 students as NHT method class. This study was conducted in six meetings. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, test and documentation sheets. The instrument validity tests made by expert judgment and test items analyzed by calculating the level of difficulty and distinguishing power using the ITEMAN (Item and Test Analysis) software. Furthermore, the normality test, reliability and analysis prerequisite test was conducted

using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and as for homogeneity test using the Levene test. Data analysis technique used is a t-test (Independent Sample T-Test) to determine differences in learning outcomes of SPSS 16 software.
The results showed that: (1) there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative method in Computer Assembling subjects of Multi Media class X at SMK N 2 Yogyakarta with the average of NHT method class posttest learning outcomes 84.20 and 79.60 for the STAD method class evidenced from the calculation of Independent Sample T-Test which generate significance value Sig (2-tailed) of 0.032 which is smaller than 0.05 with significance level of 5 %; (2) student learning outcomes of Computers Assembling subjects using the cooperative NHT method better than students using the STAD method, evidenced from the results of the posttest mean value of NHT method greater than the STAD method.
Keywords: learning outcomes, Numbered Heads Together (NHT), Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD), computer assembly.
