THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING METHOD WITH TALKING STICK TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ ACTIVITY AND LEARNING OUTCOMES OF MULTIMEDIA SUBJECT IN GRADE XI OF MULTIMEDIA STUDENTS AT SMK N 2 SEWON

Abstract
This research aims to enhance the students’ activity and learning outcomes in Multimedia subjects in grade XI of Multimedia students at SMK Negeri 2 Sewon through cooperative learning methods with Talking Stick. The type of the research is classroom action research. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of 3 meetings and at the end of each cycle, evaluation of students learning outcomes were conducted. The data collection techniques used in the research were observation sheets of students’ activity, student achievement test, documentation, and field notes. The data analysis used in the research was descriptive quantitative analysis. The results shows that the implementation of cooperative learning methods with Talking Stick enhance the students’ activity and learning outcomes in multimedia subjects at grade XI Multimedia students. In the first cycle, the average students’ activity on visual indicators, listening, oral, written, metric, emotionally and drawing was at 66.68%, and the indicators rose up to 84.92% in the second cycle. It was followed by the improvements in students’ learning outcomes with the average score of 56.59 on the pre-cycle with the percentage of 22.72% completeness. In the first cycle, the average learning outcomes increased to 64.09 with the percentage of 45.45% completeness. In the second cycle the average score of learning outcomes increased at 85.45 with the percentage of 90.90% completeness. Keywords: Talking Stick, activity, learning outcomes, multimedia
