PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PKn MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan prestasi belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Digal Wonogiri menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan PTK.Subjek penelitian adalah 16 siswa kelas IV. Objek penelitian adalah prestasi belajar PKn. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  peningkatan  proses  dan prestasi belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Digal Wonogiri setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Langkah model pembelajaran PBL yaitu (1) memberikan motivasi; (2) pembagian kelompok; (3) menjelaskan tujuan pembelajaran; (4) mengorientasi siswa pada masalah; (5) mengorganisasi siswa untuk belajar; (6) membeantu penyelidikan mandiri/kelompok; (7) mengembangkan dan mempresentasikan hasil karya; (8) menganalisis dan mengevaluasi pemecahan masalah; (9) merangkum materi; (10) melaksanakan evaluasi. Ketuntasan belajar pra tindakan 43.75%, siklus I ketuntasan meningkat  menjadi 68.75%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 100%.

Abstract

This research aims at improving learning achievement of civic education of fourth grade students in SD N 1 Digal Wonogiri using Problem Based Learning (PBL). This was a classroom action research. The subjects were 16 fourth grade students. The object of research was the learning achievement of civic education. The design of the research used the model from Kemmis and Taggart. The data were collected through observation and test. Data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results show that there is an improvement on the performance and learning achievement in civic education subject of fourth grade students after using Problem Based Learning (PBL). The step Problem Based Learning (PBL) are (1) provide motivation; (2) group division; (3) explains the purpose of learning; (4) Problem orientation; (5) organize students to learn (6) helping investigation; (7)   presented the results of the work; (8) analyze and evaluate problem solving; (9) summarizes the learning material; (10) Evaluating the process of Problem Solving. With mastery learning pre-action is 43,75%, in first cycle 68,75%, and increased in second cycle II 100%.
