MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TPS KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika materi waktu, jarak dan kecepatan melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) pada siswa kelas V SDN Sukoreno, Sentolo, Kulon Progo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model siklus Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Sukoreno. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan observasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes dan lembar observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Kriteria keberhasilan penelitian tindakan ini adalah persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 100% dan persentase aktivitas belajar siswa mencapai ≥ 80%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika materi waktu, jarak dan kecepatan siswa kelas V SDN Sukoreno, Kulon Progo. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I, persentasenya mencapai 72,50% kemudian pada siklus II persentase aktivitas siswa meningkat menjadi 92,50%. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada saat pretest yaitu 12,50%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 62,50%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 100%.

Abstract
This research aims at improving the ability of solving mathematics story problem of the time, distance and speed through cooperative learning Think Pair Share (TPS) type in grade V SDN Sukoreno, Sentolo, Kulon Progo. This was Classroom Action Research used cyclical model proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart. The subject of this research was the students of grade V SDN Sukoreno. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles. The data was collected by test and observation. The instrument used in this research were test and observation sheet. The data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. Qualitative descriptive data analysis used to find out the increasing of students learning activity by using cooperative learning TPS type. Quantitative descriptive data analysis used to find out the increasing of students ability to solve mathematics story problem of the time, distance and speed through cooperative learning TPS type. The criteria of success of this research were the percentage of students learning completeness achieved 100% and the students learning activity percentage achieved ≥80%. The result of this research shows that cooperative learning TPS type improve the ability of mathematics story problem solving of the time, distance and speed in grade V of SDN Sukoreno. The result of the students activities observation in cycle I achieve 72,50% and in cycle II increase to 92,50%. The result of students pretest achieve 12,50%, in cycle I increase to 62,50%, and in cycle II increase to100%.
