Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media dekak FPB terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV berjumlah 49 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen berbentuk Quasi Experimental Design Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design yang menggunakan kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan menggunakan media dekak FPB, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan media cetak yang berupa buku. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh penggunaan media dekak FPB terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan hasil perhitungan nilai post-test hasil belajar matematika dimana nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen sebesar 95,00 lebih tinggi daripada nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol sebesar 83,65. Dari perolehan nilai rata-rata pada masing-masing kelompok dapat dinyatakan berhasil 100% dilihat dari KKM yang ditentukan sebesar 75. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media dekak FPB terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of the abacus media for the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) on the mathematics learning achievement of Grade IV students. The research population comprised all Grade IV students with a total of 49 students. This was a quasi-experimental study using the nonequivalent control group design involving an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received a treatment using the abacus media for GCF while the control group used a book as print media. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of the use of the abacus media for GCF on the mathematics learning achievement of Grade IV students. This was indicated by the result of the calculation of the posttest scores of the mathematics learning achievement; the mean score of the experimental group was 95.00, which was higher than that of the control group, which was 83.65. Based on the mean score of each group, it could be stated that the study was successful by 100% in terms of the set minimum mastery criterion (MMC), which was 75. Therefore, it could be concluded that there was an effect of the use of the abacus media for GCF on the mathematics learning achievement of Grade IV students.
