PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS DENGAN METODE MIND MAP SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS melalui metode mind map pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Rejosari III Semin, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK, menggunakan model spiral Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas V . Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode mind map dapat meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V. Peningkatan proses pembelajaran ditunjukkan oleh siswa yang lebih aktif, komunikatif serta suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Selain itu, hasil belajar ditunjukkan dengan persentase ketuntasan pada pratindakan 20%, pada siklus I 53,33%, dan pada siklus II 86,67%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve students achievement using mind map method on the fifth grade of Rejosari III elementary school in Semin, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. This research was Classroom Action Research, using Kemmis and Mc Taggart spiral model. The subjects were a teacher and  fitfh grade students. The data were collected  through  achievement  test,  observation  sheets,  questionnaires,  and  documentation.  The  data  were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis.The results show that the implementation of mind map method can improve the process and the results of social studies on the fifth grade. The improvement of learning process shown by students that are more active and communicative. In addition, the results indicated by the percentage of completeness in pre-action amounted to 20%, 53,33% in the first cycle, and 86,67% in the second cycle.
