BUDAYA SEKOLAH DALAM MEMBANGUN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI MATEMATIKA PADA SISWA DI SD N 2 DELANGGU
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui budaya sekolah dalam membangun motivasi berprestasi siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika di SD N 2 Delanggu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, dan wali siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SD N 2 Delanggu telah mengembangkan budaya sekolah dalam bentuk artifak; nilai dan keyakinan; serta asumsi dasar. Budaya sekolah yang dikembangkan tersebut sudah diterapkan dengan baik oleh seluruh komponen sekolah, meskipun masih ada kendala yang dihadapi. Selain itu, budaya sekolah tersebut juga membangun motivasi berprestasi siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Diantaranya, pemberian penghargaan pada siswa saat upacara bendera; nilai semangat belajar; serta asumsi bahwa yang terpenting dalam belajar matematika itu adalah memahami rumus, maka siswa dapat mengerjakan soal dengan baik.

ABSTRACT
The research was intended to know the school culture in building the motivation of students’ achievement in Math of SD N 2 Delanggu. The research was qualitative research. The participants were headmaster, teachers, students, and parents. The data gathering technique used observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique used Miles and Huberman model, which the steps were data reduction, data display, and verification. The validity test used data technique triangulation and data source triangulation The result showed that SD N 2 Delanggu had developed the school culture in the form of artifact; value and belief; and basic assumption. The school culture had been applied well by the school community although there were some obstacles which had not been found the solution. Furthermore, the school culture also supported in building the motivation of students’ achievement in Math. Those school cultures were giving reward to the students when flag ceremony; the value of enthusiasm of learning; and then the assumption that the most important thing of studying math was understanding the formula, therefore the students could solve the problems well.
