IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN DI SD NEGERI GEDONGKIWO YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program dan kendala dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan di SD Negeri Gedongkiwo. Penelitian ini penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Kepala Sekolah, guru dan siswa. Objek penelitian berupa pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dilaksanakan melalui kebijakan sekolah, pelaksanaan kurikulum, kegiatan lingkungan partisispatif dan pengelolaan sarana pendukung ramah lingkungan. Implementasi sudah sampai tahap tindakan moral, namun belum sampai tahap kebiasaan. (2) kendalanya yaitu kesadaran siswa untuk peduli lingkungan, memilah sampah, dan pemahaman visi misi kurang, kurangnya persiapan guru dan pemahaman siswa, kurikulum belum berdiri sendiri, tim kerja kurang solid, kreativitas belum konsisten, siswa kurang aktif dalam ekstrakurikuler, terdapat sarana yang rusak dan siswa membeli makanan tidak sehat.

Abstract
This research aimed to describe programs and constraints faced in the implementation of environmental awareness of character education in elementary school Gedongkiwo. This study was descriptive qualitative research. Subjects were the Principal, teachers and students. The object was the implementation of environmental awareness of character education. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interview and documentation. Data were analyzed by data reduction techniques, display of the data and verification. The data validation used techniques and source triangulation. The results showed that (1) implementation of environmental awareness of character education implemented through environmentally schools policy, curriculum implementation, activity based environment participatory and management of environmentally friendly means. Implementation has reached the stage of moral action, but has not reached the stage of a habit. (2) constraints in the implementation were the student environmental awareness, understanding of school vission mission and understanding of students about waste segregation were lack, a lack of teacher preparation, curriculum not stand alone, lack of understanding of students, the lack of solid team work and creativity of school members, students were less active in extracurricular activities, there were some damaged facilities and students who bought unhealthy food.
