PENINGKATAN RASA INGIN TAHU SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL)

Abstrak

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu siswa dengan menerapkan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2019. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VB yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah rasa ingin tahu siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket rasa ingin tahu siswa dan observasi keterlaksanaan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini apabila rasa ingin tahu  sebagian besar  (>75%) siswa berada pada kategori baik . Hasil menunjukkan rasa ingin tahu siswa meningkat dari siklus I maupun siklus II. Pada siklus I siswa yang memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan berjumlah 17 siswa dengan presentase 73,91%. Pada siklus II siswa yang memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan berjumlah 19 siswa dengan presentase 82,61%.

Abstract

The research was Classroom Action Research using Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. This research aims to improve students’ curiosity by implement Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This research had taken in May 2019. The subject of the research were the 5th grade students at Gunungpring 1 Elementary School that consist of 23 students. The object of research was students’ curiosity. The instruments used in this research were questionnaire of students’ curiosity and observation of implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). The indicator of the succes in this research if students in both good and very good categories > 75% from all students. The results show that Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach  can improve students’ curiosity. In the 1st cycle, the total of students in both good and very good categories are 17 students with percentage of 73,91%. In 2nd cycle, the total of students in both good and very good categories are 19 students with percentage of 82,61%.
