UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH PADA MUATAN AJAR IPS MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI PATRAGATEN
Abstract

Abstract
This study aims to improve the ability to solve problems in social studies teaching content through Problem Based Learning models in fourth grade students of Patragaten State Elementary School. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with a spiral model based on Kemmis & McTaggart which consists of four components, consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis techniques in research are based on the reflection of each cycle. Research data are obtained from quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the utilization of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the ability to solve the problems shown through the evaluation test results at the end of the cycle. In the pre-action there were 44% who reached KKM, in the first and second cycles there were 80% of the number of students who reached the KKM or had achieved research success. The average value of pre-action was 68.4, at the end of the first cycle was 81.12, and the end of the second cycle was 83.52.
