PENGARUH MODEL GROUP INVESTIGATION PADA PEMBELAJARAN PKN TERHADAP KARAKTER DEMOKRATIS SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation pada pembelajaran PKn terhadap karakter demokratis siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy eksperiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group desain. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Pacar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala. Data hasil penelitian disajikan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji mean, uji N-Gain dan uji T-Test (uji t) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Group Investigation berpengaruh signifikan terhadap karakter demokratis siswa. Dibuktikan dengan hasil uji mean menunjukkan mean posttest kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari mean posttest kelompok kontrol (98,91>89,10) dengan selisih 9,81. Hasil uji N-Gain menunjukkan skor kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelompok kontrol (0,362>0,131). Hal ini didukung dengan hasil thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (3,947>2,08596), dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (0,000<0.05).

Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of the group investigation model on civic education about democratic characther of 5th grade students. This research was a quantitative research by using quasy experiment. Sample of this study is 5th grade students at Pacar Elementary School. This research used scale as the instrument. The technique of data analysis used mean test, N-Gain test and T-Test with level of significance 5%. The result shows that model group investigation on civic education has a significant effect to students’ democratic characther. It is indicated by the result of mean test showed post test mean of experiment group is bigger than post test mean of control group (98,91>89,10) with differerent score 9,81. Then, the result of N-Gain test score of experiment group is bigger than score of control group (0,362>0,131). And also suported by tvalue more than ttable (3,947>2,08596), with value significance is 0,000 (0,000<0,05).
