PENGUATAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SD N PERCOBAAN 2 SLEMAN

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penguatan pendidikan karakter di SD N Percobaan 2 Sleman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik penentuan subyek menggunakan purposive. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Creswell. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kelas dilakukan melalui integrasi nilai karakter dengan materi (mengkaitkan pokok bahasan dengan praktek), manajemen kelas/leadership (metode pembelajaran, bintang karakter, pin bergilir), dan pengembangan muatan lokal (tata krama, kamis pahing). Penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis budaya melalui pembiasaan nilai karakter (5S, GLS, sholat berjamaah, kamis pahing, kegiatan hari jumat, literasi agama, TBTQ, pembiasaan di kelas), keteladanan (bertegur sapa, disiplin), dan melibatkan setiap unsur sekolah (membimbing, mendidik, mendukung kegiatan sekolah). Penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis masyarakat melalui pemberdayaan potensi lingkungan sekolah (sarana prasarana, letak sekolah) dan kerjasama (memperkuat peran orangtua dan kolaborasi dengan masyarakat).

Abstract

This research aims at describing the strengthening of character education at SD N Percobaan 2 Sleman. This research used a qualitative approach with a type of case study. The technique of determining subjects were  used purposive. Methods of data collections were using interviews, observations, and documentation. The validity tests of the data were using source and technique triangulations. The analysis data technique used the Creswell`s model. The results showed that the strengthening of class-based character education was carried out through the integration of character values with material (linking the subject matter with practice), classroom management/leadership (learning methods, character stars, rotating pins), and the development of local content (manners, Thursday pahing). Strengthening culture-based character education through habituation of character values (5S, GLS, congregational prayers, Thursday pahing, Friday activities, religious literacy, TBTQ, habituation in class), exemplary (greeting, discipline), and involving every element of the school (guiding, educate, support school activities). Strengthening community-based character education through empowering the   potential  of  the  school  environment  (infrastructure,  school location)  and  collaboration  (strengthening parental  roles  and  collaboration with the community).
