PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CIRC

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan hasil keterampilan membaca pemahaman dengan model pembelajaran CIRC siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kintelan 1. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kintelan 1 berjumlah 29 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan proses pembelajaran dan hasil keterampilan membaca pemahaman dengan model pembelajaran CIRC. Pada pratindakan nilai rata-rata kelas keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa sebesar 53,81 dengan presentase 24,14%, kemudian pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 72,32 dengan presentase 55,17%, dan meningkat lagi pada siklus II menjadi 82,94 dengan presentase 86,21%.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the learning process and the result reading comprehension skills with the CIRC learning model at fifth grade students of SD N Kintelan 1. The type of the research was collaborative classroom action research with Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The subjects of this study was fifth grade students of SD N Kintelan 1 composed 29 students The data were collected through observation, test, and documentation. The techniques of the research were quantitative and qualitative description. The results of the research showed that the CIRC learning model could improve the learning process and result reading comprehension skill. In the preaction, the class average value of reading comprehension skills students amounted to 53.81 with a percentage 24.14%, then in the first cycle increased to 72.32 with a percentage 55.17%, and increased again in the second cycle to 82.94 with a percentage of 86.21%.
