PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPA KELAS V MELALUI MODEL COOPERATIVE LEARNING TIPE TALKING STICK

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA melalui model cooperative learning tipe talking stick di kelas V. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe talking stick. Peningkatan dapat dilihat dari rata-rata motivasi belajar IPA siswa secara keseluruhan pada siklus I sebesar 65% (kategori cukup) menjadi 85% (kategori sangat tinggi) pada siklus II sehingga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 19% setelah dilakukan perbaikan. Rata-rata keseluruhan skor observasi ketercapaian guru menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe talking stick pada siklus I yaitu 80% meningkat menjadi 100% pada siklus II sehingga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20% setelah dilakukan perbaikan.

Abstract

This research aims at improving student learning motivation in the science charge applying the cooperative learning model talking stick type and to in the 5th grade. The type of this research was classroom action research. The subject of this study were students of 5th grade which numbered 23 students. The data analysis technique were quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research show that the implementation of “talking stick” cooperative learning can improve student’s learning motivation. The improvement seen by the average of students’ science learning motivation a whole in cycle I that is 65% (enough category) to 85% (very high category) in the cycle II so that it increased by 19% after made repairs. The average overall score of observation of teacher activities in the first cycle is 80%, increasing to 100% in the second cycle so that increases by 20% after made repairs.
