PENERAPAN MODEL QUANTUM TEACHING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPS SISWA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching pada siswa kelas VC SD Negeri Kotagede 1 Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VC SD Negeri Kotagede 1, Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan skala motivasi belajar IPS. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar IPS siswa meningkat. Hasil skor perolehan motivasi belajar IPS pada saat pra tindakan yaitu 53,45% (rendah) meningkat menjadi 76,12% (tinggi) pada siklus I dan setelah tindakan siklus II meningkat menjadi 86,28% (sangat tinggi).

Abstract

This study aims at improving motivation to learn social studies using the Quantum Teaching learning model for 5th C grade students of SD Negeri Kotagede 1 Yogyakarta. The type of the research isclassroom action research using a model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects of this study were 5th C grade students at SD Negeri Kotagede 1 Yogyakarta, which amounted to 29 students. The datacollection technique were used observation and social studies learning motivation scale. Instruments for collecting data using observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were used quantitative descriptive data analysis and qualitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that students’ motivation to learn social studies has increased. The results of students’ motivation to learn social studies score at the time of pre-action were 53.45% (low) increasing to 76.12% (high) in the first cycle and after the second cycle of action increased to 86.28% (very high).
