PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN DEMONSTRASI DAN EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh metode demonstrasi dan metode eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV di SDN 1 Kretek. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan uji paired and independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1)Terdapat pengaruh positif metode demonstrasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa dengan sig. 0,000 dan t hitung 6,924 pada paired sample t-test. (2)Terdapat pengaruh positif metode eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa dengan sig. 0,000 dan t hitung 6,335 pada paired sample t-test. (3)Tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh positif antara kelas metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa dengan sign. 0,615 pada independent sample t-test. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen memiliki kelemahan dan kelebihan dalam menyampaikan materi IPA dan dalam materi listrik statis dan dinamis, kedua metode memiliki pengaruh hampir sama.

Abstract
This research is to know demonstration and experiment method difference was toward the science result of fourth grade students in SDN 1 Kretek. This research method is quantitative. Data were collected through tests, observations and documentation. Data were analyzed by paired and independent sample t-test. The results show that: (1) There is a positive effect of demonstration method on the science result of students with sig value. 0.000 and t value of 6.924 on paired sample t-test. (2) There is a positive effect of experimental method on the science result of students with sig value. 0,000 and t value of 6.335 on paired sample t-test. (3) There is no difference of positive effect between demonstration and experiment method class on the science result of students sign value. 0.615 with independent sample t-test. This can happen because demonstration and experiments methods have weaknesses and advantages in science teaching and also both of methods have almost the same effect, especially for static and dynamic electrical materials.
