Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan besarnya pengaruh positive reinforcement terhadap motivasi belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Butuh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif desain ex-postfacto. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 235 siswa dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa skala psikologi. Uji coba skala positive reinforcement diperoleh 33 item pernyataan valid sedangkan untuk variabel motivasi belajar IPS diperoleh 27 item pernyataan valid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa positive reinforcement berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar IPS. Analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana, dengan diperoleh hasil korelasi thitung sebesar 5,301, ttabel sebesar 1,980 pada taraf signifikansi 5%, nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan R2 sebesar 10,8%. Jadi dapat disimpulkanbahwa positive reinforcement berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar IPS sebesar 10,8%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence and much influence of positive reinforcement for social studies learning motivation of the fifth grade students of all the Primary School at Butuh Sub-District. This research was a quantitative research with ex-postfacto design. The samples were 235 students by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used a psychology scale. The trial positive reinforcement scale obtained 33 valid statement items while for the variable of social studies learning motivation obtained 27 valid statement items. The results showed that positive reinforcement has a positive and significant influence on social studies learning motivation. Data were analyzed by using simple regression, the correlation results obtained 5,301 tcount, ttable of 1,980 at a significance level of 5%, a significance value of 0,000 > 0,05 and R2 of 10,8%. So it can beconcluded that positive reinforcement has a positive and significant influence on social studies learning motivation of 10,8%.
