PENERAPAN METODE COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS PADA SISWA KELAS III SDN WINONGO

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS dengan menggunakan metode cooperative learning tipe jigsaw kelas III SD Negeri Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester II tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dalam dua siklus setiap siklus ada dua pertemuan. Setiap
pertemuan terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas III SDN Winongo yang berumlah 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas III SD Negeri Winongo meningkat setelah diterapkan metode cooperative learning tipe jigsaw. Hasil belajar yang diproleh siswa dari pra tindakan, siklus I, ke siklus II berturut-turut adalah 61,55, 66,9, 83,25. Jumlah siswa yang belum mencapai KKM dari pra tindakan, siklus I, ke siklus II berturut-turut sebesar (40%), (70%), (90). Hasil belajar pada siklus II meningkat setelah refleksi siklus I dilakukan perbaikkan pada siklus II. Pada siklus II guru melakukan kegiatan apersepsi, membimbing siswa dalam berdiskusi, memotivasi siswa agar berani dalam mengemukakan pendapatnya dan memberikan tindak lanjut berupa tugas rumah.

Abstract

This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes through the cooperative learning method of the Jigsaw type in Grade III of SD Negeri Winongo.This was a classroom action research study using the model by Kemmis and McTaggart. It was conducted in semester II in the 2014/2015
academic year in two cycles each of which consisted of two meetings. Each meeting consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were Grade III students of SDN Winongo with a total of 20 students. The data were collected through tests, observations, and field notes.
The instruments were tests and observation sheets. The data were analyzed by means of qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of the study showed that there was an improvement of Social Studies learning
outcomes of Grade III students SD Negeri Winongo. Improvement after applied the cooperative learning method of the jigsaw type. Learning outcome obtained by students from pre-action, cycle I to cycle II consecutive is 61,55, 66,9, 83,25. The number of students who not reach the minimum mastery criterion
(MMC) yet in pre-action, cycle I to cycle II consecutive as much (40%), (70%), (90%). The learning outcome in cycle II is improved after reflection of cycle I did some repairs in cycle II. In cycle II the teacher did apperception activities, guide students in discussion, motivate the students to be brave to express their opinions and give the follow-up in the form of housework.
