Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan di SD Kanisius Sorowajan, Banguntapan, Bantul. Penelitian  ini merupakan  penelitian  kualitatif deskriptif  dengan  subjek  penelitian  adalah kepala  sekolah,  guru,  dan  siswa.  Adapun  objek  dari penelitian ini adalah situasi implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan di SD Kanisius Sorowajan dilaksanakan dengan cara (1) Pengembangan kurikulum sekolah meliputi program pengembangan diri, pengintegrasian dalam mata pelajaran, dan budaya sekolah. (2) Pengembangan proses pembelajaran kelas dengan praktek lapangan dan pembelajaran berbasis media dari alam; sekolah melalui program sekolah, pembiasaan, pengarahan dan lomba; dan luar sekolah melalui kegiatan pramuka dan kunjungan luar sekolah. (3) Pengembangan kesehatan sekolah misalnya pemeliharaan ruang dan bangunan, pencahayaan, ventilasi, pengelolaan fasilitas sanitasi, pengelolaan kantin sekolah, pencegahan jentik nyamuk, larangan dan penyuluhan bahaya rokok, serta promosi hygiene dan sanitasi melalui himbauan/ajakan.

Abstract

This  study  aims  to  describe  the  implementation  of  ecological-caring value  in  SD  Kanisius Sorowajan, Banguntapan, Bantul. This research used descriptive qualitative approach with research subject was principal, teachers, and students. The object of this study was the circumstance of ecological-caring value implementation. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis which used in this research were data retrieval, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The data validation in this research used triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the implementation of ecological-caring value in SD Kanisius Sorowajan manifested in (1) School curriculum development includes self-development program, integrated lesson objects, and school culture. (2) The development of class lesson process through field practice and nature media based learning; school program; habitudes, directing, and contest; and outside school activity through scout and outdoor learning. (3) school health development such as building and room care; illumination; ventilation, sanitation facility management, school canteen management, mosquito larva prevention, information and prohibition of smoke dangerousness; sanitation and hygine promotion through invitation.
