MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA MATA PELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING SISWA KELAS IV SDN I KEPUHSARI, KECAMATAN MANYARAN, KABUPATEN WONOGIRI

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui Model Problem Based Learning siswa kelas IV SDN I Kepuhsari, Kecamatan Manyaran, Kabupaten Wonogiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, yang terdiri atas 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 23 siswa, 12 laki-laki, dan 11 perempuan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi dan soal. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar observasi berpikir kritis siswa & lembar observasi guru dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning di kelas IV SDN I Kepuhsari, pada siklus I kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berada pada skor 322 dengan kategori cukup. Hasil pelaksanaan siklus II berdasakan observasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berada pada skor 407 dengan kategori berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian model Problem based learning dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN I Kepuhsari.

Abstract
The research aims to improve the ability of critical-thinking in Social Studies through Problem Based Learning at the fourth grade of SDN 1 Kepuhsari, Manyaran Sub district, Wonogiri Regency.This research is a Classroom Action Research, consists of two cycles. The subject of the research consists of 23 students; they are 12 boys and 11 girls.The research data were collected by using observation and test.The research instrument used observation sheet of student critical-thinking & teacher observation sheet and test. To analyze the data, the researcher applied the quantitative descriptive technique.The results of the research show that by applying Problem Based Learning at the fourth grade of SD N 1 Kepuhsari, in the first cycle the students ability of critical-thinking at the 322 score by sufficient category. And in the second cycle, the student ability of critical-thinking at the 407 score by critical-thinking category. Therefore, Problem Based Learning can improve the students’ ability of critical-thinking at the fourth grade of SD N 1 Kepuhsari.
