Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kebondalem Lor tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen. Variabel terikat adalah motivasi belajar IPA sedangkan variabel bebasnya adalah model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning. Penelitian populasi ini menggunakan subjek penelitian seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kebondalem Lor yang berjumlah 58 siswa. Kelas VB terpilih sebagai kelompok eksperimen sedangkan kelas VA terpilih sebagai kelompok kontrol.  Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala motivasi belajar dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dengan membandingkan mean. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap motivasi belajar IPA. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil mean pada kelompok eksperimen lebih besar dari mean kelompok kontrol, yaitu 87,70 > 77, 21.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models on motivation learning of Science learning for 5th grade of SD N 1 Kebondalem Lor in the academic year of 2014/2015.  This research was quasi experiment. The dependent variable was learning motivation of science while the independent variable was the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models. This population study used subject all of student in 5th grade SD N 1 Kebondalem Lor which has 58 students, 30 students from class VB and 28 students from class VA. VB class  as the experiment group got learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)  models while VA class as the control group got learning with expository model which is usually used by teacher. The data were collected by learning motivation scale and observations. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistic by compare mean. The result of this research showed that there was effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models on science learning motivation. It is proved by the result of experiment group mean greater than the control group mean, which is 87,70 > 77, 21.
