Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi program literasi di kelas rendah SD Ngoto Sewon Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan peneliti sebagai human instrument. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas dan siswa kelas rendah SD Ngoto. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, display data, verifikasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu sebagai berikut: (1) Tujuan program literasi adalah mengembangkan kebiasaan membaca dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi. Kegiatan yang menunjang program literasi meliputi Sabtu membaca, membaca senyap, membaca terbimbing, membaca mandiri dan membaca bersama serta lomba literasi. (2) Terdapat upaya menciptakan sarana dan lingkungan kaya literasi dengan adanya area baca, perpustakaan, warung ilmu, sudut baca di setiap kelas, slogan dan kampanye membaca serta pajangan hasil karya siswa. (3) Hambatan dalam pelaksanaan program literasi berupa waktu dan karakter siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe implementation of literacy programs in SD Ngoto Sewon Bantul. This type of research was qualitative descriptive research, where researcer as human instruments. The subject of this research were headmaster, low grade teachers, and lower grade studets of SD Ngoto Sewon Bantul. The collecting data techniques of this research were data reduction, display data, data verification and making conclusion. The result of this research are: (1) The purpose of literacy programs is to develop reading habits and increase literacy skills. There are some activities that support literacy programs, such as Sabtu membaca, silent reading, guided reading, independent reading, reading together, and literacy contest. (2) There are efforts to create infrastructure and providing a rich literacy environment with reading area, library, warung ilmu, reading corner in every class, and display of the students work. (3) There are some obstacles in the implementation of literacy program, the obstacle are time and students character.
