Abstract
Abstrak
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan model project based learning dan model direct instruction ditinjau dari keterampilan proses sains peserta didik, (2) perbedaan penggunaan model project based learning dan model direct instruction ditinjau dari peningkatan penguasaan materi hukum newton peserta didik, (3) model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif di antara pembelajaran fisika model project based learning dan model direct instruction ditinjau dari keterampilan proses sains dan peningkatan penguasaan materi hukum newton peserta didik.Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasi Ekseperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Mia 1 dan X Mia 2 SMA Negeri 2 Sleman. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah keterampilan proses sains peserta didik berdasarkan lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dan penguasaan materi peserta didik berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test peserta didik. Instrumen pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah RPP, LKPD, dan lembar laporan praktikum peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian menggunakan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat perbedaan capaian keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran model project based learningdan model direct instructiondengan nilaisignifikansi p(sig(2-tailed) adalah 0.035, (2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran model project based learningdan model direct instructiondengan nilaisignifikansi p(sig(2-tailed) adalah 0.0003, (3) pembelajaran fisika model project based learning lebih efektif dari pada model direct instruction ditinjau dari keterampilan proses sains dan peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik.

Abstract
This research aims to know: (1) the difference project based learning model and direct instruction model in terms of scince process skills aspect, (2) the difference project based learning model and direct instruction model interm of increase student’s the mastery of Newton’s Laws (3) a more effective learning model between project based learning model and direct instruction model in terms of scince process skills aspect and increasing the mastery of high school students’physics.Thisresearch design isQuasi Ekseperimen. The subjects were students of class X Mia 1 and X Mia 2 SMA N 2 Sleman. The data obtained of this research are scince process skills based on observation sheet of student’s learning process skill and mastery of student material based on pretest and posttest result. Learning instrumen used in this research are RPP, LKPD, and student practicum report sheet. Data analysis techniques used to test the hypothesis in this research is independent sample t-test. The results of this research are: (1) there is a difference in the achievement of students’science process skills with p(sig(2-tailed)significance value is 0.035, (2) there is a difference increased mastery of student materian with p(sig(2-tailed)significance value is 0.0003, (3) learning physics with project based learning model more effective than direct instruction model in term of science process skills and increased mastery of student material.
