Abstract

Abstract
This research was aimed to know the learning output difference and effectiveness of physics learning Problem Based Learning (PBL) model compared to conventional model based on lesson attainment, problem solving skills, and cooperation attitude of High School students. This research design was quasi experimental with type was nonequivalent control group design. Population of this research were 10th grade students of 1 Kretek Senior High School. Sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The sample of this research were X1 as experiment class, and X4 as control class. Experiment class used physics learning with Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and control class used physics learning with conventional model. Data-gathering instruments of this research are pretest and posttest of lesson attainment, pretest and posttest of problem solving skills, cooperation attitude questionnaire, and observation sheet of cooperation attitude. The result of this research showed that there was a significant difference of lesson attainment and problem solving skills between the class that used Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the class that used conventional model, but not significant in the cooperation aspect. Physics learning with Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was effective being used compared to conventional model according to lesson attainment and problem solving skills. Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) and conventional model were not infulenced to students cooperation attitude.
