DEVELOPMENT OF PQ4R BASED-LEARNING DEVICE TO INCREASE COGNITIVE LEARNING RESULT BASED ON INTEREST AND LEARNING PROCESS RESPONSE
Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan kelayakan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis PQ4R , (2) mengetahui besar peningkatan hasil belajar aspek kognitif peserta didik pada materi usaha dan energi setelah diterapkannya pembelajaran lewat perangkat pembelajaran berbasis PQ4R, dan (3) mengetahui sumbangan minat dan tanggapan proses belajar peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar aspek kognitif baik secara bersama-sama maupun sendiri-sendiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan desain pengembangan 4D (define, design, develope, dan disseminate). Subjek penelitian pada uji empiris dengan 36 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 3 SMA N 1 Jogonalan, uji coba terbatas dengan 18 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 4SMA N 1 Jogonalan, dan uji coba operasional dengan 36 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Jogonalan. Teknik pengambilan data dengan tes tertulis, angket, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah SBi, KR dan KS, Aiken’s V, percentage of agreement, interjudge agreement, alpha cronbach, standard gain, dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan : (1) telah dihasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa buku guru dan buku siswa berbasis PQ4R yanglayak digunakan dalam pembelajaran berdasarkan penilaian validator dan respon peserta didik, (2) peningkatan hasil belajar aspek kognitif peserta didik setelah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis PQ4R dengan gain 0,63 pada kategori sedang, dan (3) terdapat interaksi positif antara minat belajar dan tanggapan proses belajar peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik dengan sumbangan efektif untuk variabel minat dan tanggapan proses belajar berturut-turut sebesar 6,67% dan 44,64%. Kata kunci: PQ4R, minat belajar, kognitif, usaha dan energi Abstract The purposes of this research are : (1)todescribe feasibility of PQ4R based-learning device, (2)to find out the increasing degree in cognitive aspect of student’s learning result in the topic work and energy after implementation ofPQ4R based-learning device, and (3) to find out contribution of interest and response of process response towardcognitive aspectof student’s learning result,simultaneously and partially. This research is a development study (R & D) to develop learning device using 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The subject of the empirical test was 36 students of class XI-3 of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of SMA N 1 Jogonalan, the subject of the limited trial was 18 students of class X-4 of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of SMA N 1 Jogonalan, and the subject of the operational trial was 36 students of class X-1 of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of SMA N 1 Jogonalan. Data collection techniques used were question tests, questionnaires, and observation. The analysis technique used were KR and KS, SBi, Aiken’s V,percentage of agreement, interjudge agreement, alpha cronbach, standard gain, and multiple linear regretion. The results of this study are as follows: (1) PQ4R-based learning device in the form of teacher books and student books are feasibly developed to be used in the learning based on validator and student response assessment,(2) student’s learning result of cognitive aspects improves with a gain of 0.63 in medium category after implementation ofPQ4R-based learning device, and (3) there is a positive interaction between learning interest and learning process responses towardstudent’s learning result with effective contribution for interest variables and response oflearning process 6,67% and 44,64%.Respectively.
